how to use roam creative studio space
Welcome to Roam! We are so excited to host you.
This guide is to help you get the most out of the space and its amenities. Please be mindful of the below instructions. If you have any questions about our props or policies, and to avoid any potential damages or accidents, please contact ownership! We are generally not on-site during your rental, but we do our best to answer any questions in a timely manner. Access, Security, Check-In:
Sometimes when you type in our address (129 1/2 W. Wayne St. Maumee, OH), the address isn't recognized by GPS. If you type 129 W. Wayne St. into your GPS, the address will be found. If you're looking at the front of 129, we are the door directly to the right.
We've been experiencing some difficulty with our locks lately, so please read the below instructions carefully.
FRONT DOOR
**When entering the passcode to the front door, please pull the door shut tight. Enter the passcode, wait for the keypad to beep and for the lock to switch over indicating it's opened. If you try to push too soon, the lock may jam.**

Please vacuum (if necessary) at the end of your booked time. You can find a vacuum located in the left side of the closet next to the main entrance. There is a trash bin located in the kitchenette cabinets and in the bathroom.
Remember that your setup and tear down must take place within your booked time. The studio is likely rented out before and/or after you, so getting out in a timely manner is necessary. If you do stay over, you will be charged an additional late checkout fee of $20 for every 5 minutes.
Thermostat/Temperature:
Please keep the thermostat set to either 68* on heat or 73* on cool.
Check-Out:
When exiting the building, please hit the lock button (located at the bottom left of the keypad) FOR BOTH THE STUDIO AND FRONT DOORS. Watch this video on how to use the keypad access if you need help on how to lock the doors.
Furniture + Props:
We designed our studio with all creatives in mind. Its white walls and blank canvas gives you the foundation to create. We have various furniture and props throughout the studio.
Renters are welcome to use any furniture in the space. You may rearrange things to suit, but we ask that you return the items back to their original spot and leave the space as you found it. A vacuum is stored in the closet on the left hand side. Failure to clean up after yourself will result in a cleaning fee.
*DO NOT MOVE THE MIRROR. It is very delicate and damages the wall once moved!
*DO NOT HANG ANYTHING ON THE WALLS. This is against our Rental Agreement and you will be fined accordingly.
*NO PETS ARE ALLOWED of any kind. This is against our Rental Agreement and you will be fined accordingly.
Anything in the open space is available for your use with the exception of the white floating shelves located on the back, south-facing wall of the studio. Please do not touch or move anything on these shelves as they are very delicate. The storage closet is off limits to renters except for access to cleaning supplies if needed. Please do not use, take, or borrow anything in the closet.
Music:
There is a Google Mini speaker located on the kitchenette next to the plant. You will search for "studio Mini" on Bluetooth.
You may use this as a sound system. Please keep the music to a reasonable volume as there are other tenants in the building and we do not want to disturb them. We do not have wifi, so you will need to use your phone to stream any music.
Lighting:
There are two main light switches. The first is to your left when entering the studio which controls the front four lights. The back four lights are controlled on a switch located on the back wall next to the breaker box. Please make sure you turn off ALL lights, including the stairwell light, before leaving.
Seamless Backdrops:
Seamless paper is available as an add-on to your rental. If you’ve added it, you can use it at your discretion. If you have not, please DO NOT use these.
Damages, Policies, Assistance:

Other things to note:
There is a fire extinguisher located in the kitchenette cabinets.
There are two emergency exits; one at the front of the studio (main entrance) and the second located at the north facing wall across from the bathroom that accesses the outdoors. This door is not to be open or unlocked unless there is an emergency.
